VoP's 2024 Speaker Series will be with special guest Dr. Mae Jemison on April 23, 2024, at the Von Braun Center Saturn Hall. Her inspirational keynote will captivate attendees! Cocktail hour is 5:30 p.m. with event from 6-8 p.m.
Entrepreneur, engineer, physician, former NASA astronaut, educator and humanitarian, Mae Jemison, M.D. is at the forefront of integrating the physical and social sciences with art and culture to solve problems and foster innovation. Dr. Jemison served six years as a NASA astronaut and was the first woman of color in the world to go into space.
As VoP is a Family Advancement Center addressing the needs of children and families in distressed, under-resourced neighborhoods, the Speaker Series event provides a stage for national thought leaders to share their insight with the Huntsville community on best-practice solutions for addressing generational poverty and/or overcoming challenges for inspirational learning

This ticket includes admission to the 2024 Speaker Series event with cash-bar cocktail hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the event kickoff at 6 p.m. - food selections will be served.
